This past Wednesday we had our special End of Year Celebration. Thank you for all who participated in this virtual event, especially our partners from Albania and Pakistan!
Don led off the hour with an overview of The Tide ministry, before we got to hear some exciting updates from Pastor Klodi in Albania. Despite a challenging spiritual landscape in the country, whose people are primarily Muslim and whose government was declared the world’s first atheist state, there is a spiritual hunger especially among the youth. We were privileged to hear some amazing testimonies of changed lives.
The program then pivoted to Cameroon, where our partners provided a few video greetings from evangelists and pastors on the ground, as well as a testimony from a believer whose life was impacted and changed by The Tide radio programming. Cameroon has faced, and continues to face, severe flooding this year, particularly in the north. We were shown a video of residents struggling to walk through areas impacted by rains and vehicles almost entirely submerged. It was a sobering reminder of the day-to-day struggles that many people in the world deal with. Yet the theme remained the same – despite these challenges, the Gospel continues to go forth in this nation!
In Pakistan, our partner ministry, Pakistan Christian Recording Ministries, shared an exciting ministry update, highlighted by their vision of catalyzing disciple-making movements among unreached people groups of the country. Indeed, among the many unreached peoples of Pakistan, where there may be fewer than one Christian per tens of thousands of people, it is movements which multiply – where every believer is activated into discipleship and shares the Gospel with their spheres of influence – that are needed in order to bring transformation.
If one disciple were to disciple twelve disciples, like Jesus did, and each of those disciples in turn discipled 12, then in a few generations millions can be reached.
We were also treated to several testimonies of transformed lives and short video greetings from listeners across Pakistan who have been blessed by The Tide.
We then made our way to Zimbabwe, one of the first countries where we have operated, where Don shared a few ministry updates. We got to hear from our partner in Zimbabwe and the voice of the Amagugu Evangeli radio broadcast.
The last stop of our tour was Thailand, where we learned about the impact of portable media devices and relevant Gospel programming impacting lives. One of the highlights of the evening was the testimony of a long-time listener in Isaan who, over the years, found her heart turning towards the Lord. She now calls Jesus her Savior – praise the Lord!
We are thankful for all that God has done in 2024 and we look forward to another great year of ministry in 2025.
