With nearly 46% of its population under the age of 15, there is great opportunity to reach the children of Yemen through the language expansion of our Middle East children’s program. This means approximately 15 million children will have access to the Gospel in their own heart language, some likely hearing it for the first time.
The Tide Middle East children’s television program first launched in 2021 and is now ready to expand into two new Arabic languages. This year’s Race to Share the Gospel Around the World virtual challenge invites participants to run, walk, bike, hike, or even swim 13 miles between April 29 and May 14 to raise funds and bring awareness to the work we are doing to tell people in the Middle East the truth about Jesus. With multiple ways to participate, everyone can get involved from wherever they are around the world.
Participate Physically
This year participants will virtually navigate through an area of Yemen as they run, walk, bike, hike, or swim, praying along the way for those who have not yet heard the Good News of Christ. As they race around this very closed and dangerous place to share the Gospel, they will encounter milestone markers along the way with specific prayer suggestions for each mile, allowing there to be a Kingdom presence among lost souls in this faraway country. It is critical that we entreat God to help us extend our media outreach into Yemen and ask Him to open the hearts of people in this region of the world where more than 99% of the country is not Christian.
Participate as a Cheerleader aka Prayer Warrior
For those unable to physically participate in the challenge, you can still be involved as a Cheerleader through prayer. Each day you log your prayer time, you will unlock milestone markers with new prayer suggestions for locations around Yemen. What better way to participate than on your knees before the One who will work in the lives and hearts of those who speak Yemeni Arabic!
Participate as a Youth or Children’s Ministry Sponsor
Are you looking for a way to introduce your students to the world beyond your church building and help them understand the importance of missions, or perhaps you want to give them an opportunity to practice what you have already taught them? If so, then we invite your student group to partner with us, allowing young people to reach others their own age. There are great benefits to participating as a student group. Check them out on our Race website.
Participate as a Race Sponsor
Race sponsors are a very important part of the Race as they help offset the costs involved with the event, as well as help raise money toward the overall goal. From Global Race Sponsor all the way to Door Prize Sponsor and everything in between, each one is appreciated as they help to offset the costs associated with the event and help raise funds to help achieve the overall goal for the Race.
We invite you to participate in any way you are able and appreciate your prayer and support no matter how you plan to be involved. If you would like more information, contact race@thetide.org.
