In our latest Prayer Guide, we asked for prayers over India, where seeker conferences were restricted due to ongoing persecution:
Due to government restrictions, we are currently not able to conduct any seeker meetings in Odisha. This province has been on the news in 2024 as an epicenter of increased Christian persecution.
Praise God that this prayer has been answered! This past December, we were once again able to hold these old school-type revival meetings, for three straight days. These meetings were geared to encourage believers and help answer questions from people who were seeking more information about the Christian faith. Each gathering featured four consecutive messages, on Creation, Sin, Repentance, and Salvation.
These were long Seekers Meetings and not for the faint of heart. The speakers began at 9am and went on until 2pm, followed by a fellowship lunch. A total of 143 seekers – men, women, and children – attended the three events, of which 41 openly affirmed their commitment to worship Jesus Christ as personal savior and Lord! We are grateful for the faithful prayers of our supporters. They are heard by our Heavenly Father and are making a difference in many lives around the world.
As you know, the journey of discipleship for these precious believers is an ongoing process. They will need a lot of encouragement and fellowship as they live out their faith in Odisha. Now is as good a time as ever to bathe Christians and pastors throughout India in prayer as they strive to faithfully follow Jesus in the face of public opposition.
