In 2004, we introduced our first radio broadcast program into the country of Nepal. Nepali, the official language of Nepal is also spoken in India and Bhutan and totals 17 million native speakers. Nepal is currently considered a "closed country" and is particiualrly difficult for foreigners to gain access to the country. For many years, Nepal was known as the world's only Hindu kingdom. The Tide's Nepali broadcast, "Prasasta Jiwan" (meaning "Abundant Life") is aired for 15 minutes once a week through an FM radio station.
