Hundreds of Lives Changed in Albania Through New Programs from The Tide® Radio Ministry

The Tide® global radio ministry launched gospel radio programming in Albania earlier this year, and already, hundreds of lives are being changed by the messages of Jesus Christ.

Said one Albania bank teller, Albert, of the programs, “It helps me to understand more about God and my life with Him. One day I really felt the need to pray, and I prayed with the pastor after the program. God helped me. I know I need Him to live in peace and I learned this thanks to [The Tide] program.”

“The wonderful people of Albania, who live in predominantly Muslim nations, may have never heard about God without The Tide ministry’s programs,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “Through our ministry, gospel programming is produced in the language they were born to speak, and recorded by local pastors so they can not only share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them, but also follow up with them in person, pray with them and encourage them in their faith.”

Eva, another who also listens to the programs daily, said, “I am a Christian and for me [the radio programs are] a great encouragement for my life. I don’t have the opportunity to go to church [all the time] so listening to the programs is a blessing for me. One of my preferred programs is ‘Sipas Fjales.’ I am blessed from that program because it is simple to understand and also it [talks directly] to my life.”

In addition to producing global gospel radio programming in 23 heart languages around the world, The Tide ministry gives radios to people in remote villages in Africa and Asia so they can listen to the programs. Thousands of generous people across the United States have enabled The Tide radio programs to thrive and expand into even more countries through the “Sponsor a Radio” program that helps further projects like The Tide ministry’s Radios for Nigeria and Radios for India. Details on The Tide “Sponsor a Radio” program can be found at

The Tide ministry is also planning its annual promotional dinners for September, where attendees can learn more about its areas of service and ways to spread the Gospel to all corners of the world. Events in Pennsylvania are planned for Mechanicsburg, Chambersburg, Lancaster, Souderton and Mifflintown. For more information, visit
